Jeff the Brotherhood were wicked last night. They played with Strange Boys and White Fence. It was a great lineup and totally killed all of the shows I saw at NXNE with the exception of Biblical who just released their self titled 10”. Go listen to Nickel & Dime and then buy this album. The beginning of this track reminds me of the Night Marchers album (in a good way) but then it gets out of control. Nick Sewell is the man and if you were ever into The Illuminati this will be up your alley.

The illustration was done by Rick Froberg (Obits/Hot Snakes/Drive Like Jehu) - fun fact!

Finally it’s starting to feel like summer in Toronto. For me, this last weekend was filled with sunshine, bbqs, parks, beers, dogs, and pals. If you had a similar time you may be interested in this clever bottle opener that fastens to the rails of your saddle. Young Widows are playing tonight at the Garrison with Burning Love. One Hundred Dollars have new vinyl and are playing a record release show tomorrow night at the Great Hall.

My mom and I are participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer in June 2011. We are riding together in support of those who are living with cancer and in remembrance of those we have lost to cancer. We will be riding from Toronto to Niagara Falls - 200K over two days.
